| Spamalot was incredible! I'd go see it again. NYC was awesome! I love visiting there. I'm not sure I could handle living there, but I love visiting. I have my Coach (or Foach) purse! Julie said that it looks authentic just one they couldn't sell in a normal department store. She used to work for a store that sold Coaches and she was told how to determine if it is a knock off. We ate dinner and had dessert in Little Italy. Oh how I love it there. Classes are going well. I have my first test next Wednesday! I'm going to start making a study guide today. I'm going to try and study at least an hour or two everynight now for a week. We'll see how that goes. It's almost Friday. This Friday is going to be interesting. It's the first CU Friday of the year. These are big recruitment days for Cedarville. I'm supposed to be here at 6:30am tomorrow. I know it's an ungodly hour, but I get to leave at 2:30 since my 8 hours will be up and they don't want to pay me overtime. Bummer, but 2:30 is pretty nice time to get off. I still have a ton of the day left by then! So it's gonna be an early night tonight. Well that's it for my update. Nothing like a month long break to make me remember I was going to do that forever ago. Until something else monumental comes up, enjoy! PS. 3:10 to Yuma is pretty good. I would recommend going to see it. | | |
| So NYC next weekend, two of my closest friends, tickets to Spamalot, who could ask for more????? | | |
| Classes start tonight! Pray I don't throw up. I'm really ready to right now.... | | |
| I'm actually updating! Life has been a constant blur lately. I feel like I've been running like a chicken with my head cut off. Things have just been crazy go nuts! I start graduate school next week! I'm feeling so many emotions right now. Some good, others not so good. It's such a big grown up move. I'm not sure I'm quite ready for it. Oh well, in 5 days I will find out. It's Getting Started Weekend. Kinda crazy! I'm waiting to see how many kids show up and they haven't applied to Cedarville yet. We get a few each year. I'm ready for the urgency and rushing to stop. But as soon as we get 2007FA done it time for the enormous amounts of applications to come. In the month of October last year we had over 1100 applications! I was ready to pull my hair out. I'm anticipating being like that again only with the added stress of paper writing and note taking at UD. Sigh... On a much happier note. This is the weekend before my bday. Tonight some ladies from my church are getting together to go to one of my favorite places to eat... TGI Fridays!!!!! It should be fun. Then tomorrow I have a dr appt in the morning, I have to renew my driver's license, and my mom and I are going to the Greene. Saturday night, I'm heading over to Mark and Nicole's to celebrate my bday. Kenna is cooking her famous pesto. I'm so excited. We're going to play games and watch movies. I'm just looking forward to a relaxing night! Well that's all I got for now. I have lots to do today. Plus free food! So I'll try to update next week after my classes. I know my diligent readers will want to know. | | |
| I am now registered for classes at UD! This is making it feel more real than ever. Before it just seemed like a thought that was way off in the distance. Now it's right around the corner. Classes start on my bday (Happy Birthday to me!), August 21, and I have two classes I'm taking. It only adds up to 4 hours, but just the thought is making me nauceous. I know this is a good thing. I just have to get my mind back into to school mode. I haven't had that for two and a half years! It's crazier to think I've been out of school that long. Sigh. I feel old. I have a one credit hour orientation class. Not real thrilled. I hated my one hour orientation class at Cedarville. They never end. And I also signed up for a 3 hour Theories of Counseling class. I'm a little nervous b/c I'm used to the sugar-coated Cedarville psychology where Freud is evil and not some psych little 'g' god. It will be eye opening for sure. I'm still trying to figure out my text book situation. I found one online already, and have purchased it. But now it's on for the more expensive book. I don't really want to spend $109 if I don't have to. I might go talk to Rill Thompson in the bookstore to see if he can get me an ISBN number. Otherwise I might make a trip to UD soon to check it out and to get my student ID. Now I can once again get into movies cheap without feeling like I'm lying with my facstaff ID from Cedarville. So much to do and think about and about one month to do it in. Things are moving so fast.... BTW- the new Harry Potter movie is fantastic. I liked it a lot. I have never read the books, but the movies keep me entertained. | | |
